Welcome to Caroline’s Cooking!
This site aims to share recipes that we have enjoyed as a family, using some of the best ingredients we can find locally, with some international inspiration as well, with the hope that you can enjoy them too.
So who is Caroline?
I originally hail from Scotland, and via a few other places have landed in Cambridge, Mass, where I live with my husband and toddler and infant sons. All of the family have pretty healthy appetites, enjoy food and are on the whole not too fussy (hooray!). I have always enjoyed cooking and photography, though neither to a professional level, but following various conversations with friends, I had my arm twisted to start a blog to share some of my ideas and experiences.
We grow a few things in our small city garden, get vegetables and meat delivered through local schemes, and use these as a basis to enjoy some great-tasting food that is generally pretty good for you. While most things are prepared from scratch, this isn’t cooking that is going to take forever to make. Well, maybe now and again for something special but the plan is to be realistic about how long we all have, and build in ideas for using leftovers in a different way, making lunch boxes and whatever else comes to mind. Oh, and feeding a toddler the same food or with minimal adaptations.
So take a look, let us know what think and hopefully take some inspiration to get cooking!
