An easy twist on your basic oatmeal that's both tasty and healthy.

- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup milk 240ml
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 banana
- optional - a few nuts to top or eg candied pecans and maple syrup
Place the oats, milk and cinnamon in a small pan and warm over a medium heat. Stir a couple times as it cooks - you want the milk warmed through but not boiling and almost all absorbed.
While it's warming, mash the banana. Once cooked, mix the oatmeal and mashed banana together and serve warm with your choice of toppings.
