    Australian recipes

    Australian food can be a little hard to define. There are a few very traditional dishes, but some can be a little tricky when you trace the origins. Many foods that feel classically Australian to Aussies are in fact just slight variations of British foods, like sausage rolls.

    There are, however, a few Australian dishes that are well worth getting to know (whatever the twists and turns in origin) and you'll find some favorites here. Then be sure to explore modern Australian food that incorporates some of the global flavors found especially in the cities.
