    South American cuisine

    South American cuisine is as diverse as the huge area it comes from. Some popular ingredients used in the region include corn, potatoes, plantains, rice and beans.

    I've kept this to South American recipes, so from counties including Peru, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela, as opposed to the larger group of Latin American countries which most are also part of. You might also like to try Mexican cuisine, which shares some similarities. South America has so many foods to enjoy, like the delicious soups, stews, sauces, drinks and more below.

    Classic Peruvian dishes

    I've been lucky enough to explore around Peru which is home to some amazing cuisine. These classics let you bring a bit of Peru into your kitchen, with tasty flavors and a touch of aji spice.

    The sweeter side of South American cuisine

    No cuisine is without some sweet treats, and South American cuisine is no exception. Many desserts and treats have a tropical fruit base, or include a version of dulce de leche, a caramel-like creation from the region.
